Dave Parker

"How to Protect Yourself in Bear Country" - sponsored by
Counter Assault

David Parker comes from an extensive background of outdoors activities, and has been an avid hunter and fisherman since an early age, taking his first elk and deer when he was 12.  Growing up in Washington, he has hunted and fished many areas of the west and when not hunting is either taking photographs or teaching others how to live safely with wildlife.  He works extensively in the bear education arena, both teaching school children as well as government employees.  In the past he was the owner of an outdoors magazine publishing company that concentrated on the archery and bow hunting industry, printing 5 different magazines.  Living in mountains close to Kalispell, MT and working as a freelance outdoors photographer, allows him
ample time to focus on the outdoors and hunting issues as well as spending time in the field.  David is a strong advocate of Bear Pepper Spray, surviving two close encounters with bears requiring use of Bear Pepper Spray with successful outcomes for both David and the bears!
